For many months I've been challenged to paint some scenes from Pslam 71. Here's one of my responses to the Psalm.

They're not paintings that need to work together and be hung together, but separate reposness to the one Pslam.

This one is all about God being my Help and Hope.

The two figures (one helping by leading the way) are on a journey to a boat where the will go on an adventure, full of hope, which is the joyful anticipation of good.

Psalm 71

In you, Lord, I have taken refuge;
    let me never be put to shame.
In your righteousness, rescue me and deliver me;
    turn your ear to me and save me.
Be my rock of refuge,
    to which I can always go;
give the command to save me,
    for you are my rock and my fortress.
Deliver me, my God, from the hand of the wicked,
    from the grasp of those who are evil and cruel.

For you have been my hope, Sovereign Lord,
    my confidence since my youth.

This painting is created using acrylic inks, acrylic paint and spray paint.

The painting measures approx 100cm by 73cm and is painted on a deep edge canvas.
