Adventure into the unknown-Fine art print on Giclée Hahnemühle German Etching
The original painting was created with acrylic inks, spray paint and acrylic paints.
“The light of the torch searches the dark seas. On the horizon a lonely sail boat, beckoned home.
The torchlight started off a single rather insignificant beam, but the more I painted the stronger the ray of light became… it’s as if I wanted it to take over the whole picture and it soon became the prominent light in the painting, the stars stepped back into the background. It made me think of the intensity of the longing for someone to come home. I felt the cry of the man on the rock ‘Please come home! Please! Please!’ The torch light symbolises the depth of his plea.”
