Chaplaincy on Bardsey this year was a mix of joy and sadness. There was an accident in the island before I arrived and tragically a man lost his life. It happened in a moment.
The paintings I produced reflected the fragility of life represented by grasses and flowers in the field, but also reveal the energy and colour of the island that always brings me close to God as I see His beauty in creation.
This painting seeks to capture the colours of one of the days on the island, it was vibrant, bright and blue and the sea was like a sparkling disco ball! I have also tried to capture the line of the island and picked out some of the fences and contours of the island.
It's painted using acrylic inks, pen and spray paints.
You can see a film of all the paintings I produced this year here:
This painting measures A3 in size and is painted on a thin canvas board and can be provided in a simple frame for an extra £25, let me know if you would like an A3 Frame too.
