I've painted this scene a few times, but it always captivates me. It's so heavenly to me as I associate my times of serving as chaplain as times of rest and prayer and creativity and beautiful times of sharing what I have as a follower of Jesus.
Chaplaincy on Bardsey this year was a mix of joy and sadness. There was an accident in the island before I arrived and tragically a man lost his life. It happened in a moment.
The paintings I produced reflected the fragility of life represented by grasses and flowers in the field, but also reveal the energy and colour of the island that always brings me close to God as I see His beauty in creation.
It's painted using acrylic inks, pen and spray paints.
You can see a film of all the paintings I produced this year here:
This painting measures A3 in size and is painted on a thin canvas board and can be provided in a simple frame for an extra £25, let me know if you would like an A3 Frame too.
