Bathed In Blue and Silver was created after a time looking out to the sea on a bright blue day. It's not just a painting about the colours I saw, but also the way in which I felt. I like how silver and blues seem to point to other realms. A heavenly feel in a place where the gap between heaven and earth can feel paper thin.
Chaplaincy on Bardsey this year was a mix of joy and sadness. There was an accident in the island before I arrived and tragically a man lost his life. It happened in a moment.
The paintings I produced reflected the fragility of life represented by grasses and flowers in the field, but also reveal the energy and colour of the island that always brings me close to God as I see His beauty in creation.
It's painted using acrylic inks, pen and spray paints.
