‘The King Fisher II’

I felt somewhat compelled to paint this handsome Kingfisher. As I painted it I felt encouragement grow deep within me. It was a reassurance to me and I hope it will be for others too, to go and follow the One who is the King Fisher and learn from him and to see how he does what he does! Jesus invites us to follow Him and learn to fish for people so that they may too follow him and become friends with him.
In Mark’s story of the life of Jesus he writes: ‘As Jesus walked along the shore of the Sea of Galilee, He met the first of His disciples, two brothers, Simon and Andrew, both fishermen who were casting their fishing net into the shallow waters. Jesus said: Come and follow Me, and I’ll send you to catch people instead of fish. Simon and Andrew left their nets and followed Jesus at once.’(Mark Chapter 1, From The Bible.)
