Painted live at the Churches Together In England Mission and Evangelism Forum.
The original is 77cm by 50cm painted on a gorgeous chunky canvas. There are 3 sizes of print available.
This painting has been made using acrylic inks, paints, pens and water. I have also used spray paint.
The painting is influenced by three things:
1-The journey we are called to take, into the unknown. Away from the established beautiful things (symbolised by the flowers) into new unknown and perhaps harder things (symbolised by the mountains.)
2- The promise of a word from Psalm 23 and Matthew 28, 'Surely.' in the Pslam it's that the goodness of God will follow us for the ends of our lives and in the gospel it's about the presence of Jesus with his first apprentices and subsequently with us too!
3- Pslam 32.8 declares: "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you." The two figures in the painting represent you and me accompanied by Jesus on the adventure into the unknown.
I pray that you may know the closeness and promise of Jesus with you as you embark on a new journey into the unknown.
