This painting was created at the Eastern Baptist Ministers Conference, 2025. It was painted when one of our speakers, Sally Mann was challenging us about finance and listening to the direction of the Spirit and obeying what He asks of us.
Her talk was inspirational and deeply challenging. On the morning that she spoke I woke up with the thought that I needed to paint a Hare. I wasn't too sure why, and to be honest I would have preferred not too! While hearing Sally, the painting seemed to illustrate her encouragement and challenge to us to be a people of God who listen to the voice of the Spirit. The painting is all about listening and being attentive.
