Inspired by a new way of using masking tape in smaller water colour paintings I’ve produced two new larger paintings on chunky canvases.
This second one features the iconic light house on the island and inspires the name of this painting.
They oooze the influence of Bardsey island off the Lyn Peninsula.
‘Stand like a light’ is about standing like a lighthouse, tall and shining and brimming with the comfort of being at ease in ones skin. The yellow grasses also stand tall and reach up and up!
The painting is made using acrylic inks and acrylic paint, poster paint, masking tape and sealed with a clear varnish. It’s painted on a beautiful chunky canvas measuring approx 104cm by 42cm.
