One single clover caught my eye as I went to paint again at he cafe. I was purposefully trying not to hurry and to take note of what I saw. I was captured by this simple flower amongst the sea of green grasses.
Chaplaincy on Bardsey this year was a mix of joy and sadness. There was an accident in the island before I arrived and tragically a man lost his life. It happened in a moment.
The paintings I produced reflected the fragility of life represented by grasses and flowers in the field, but also reveal the energy and colour of the island that always brings me close to God as I see His beauty in creation.
This painting is a simple one looking down to the cafe with the thistle and plants in the fore ground. In the back ground you can see the shape of the island created using wool and inks.
It's painted using acrylic inks, pen and spray paints.
You can see a film of all the paintings I produced this year here:
This painting measures 304 by 304mm in size and is painted on a beautiful made naturally coated canvas.
