The work of our hands.This painting is inspired by an ancient blessing, found in Psalm 90, verse 17:
May the favour of the Lord our God rest on us;
establish the work of our hands for us—
yes, establish the work of our hands.
We can't give what we don't have. We need favour and blessing!
This is symbolised in the painting using colours of living water as well as silvers to represent the heavenly realm. The living water is gushing over and through the hands to represent that the favour of God is not for keeping but sharing out for the benefit of all.
This painting is on a glorious chunky canvas and measures 120cm by 120cm and is painted using acrylic paints and inks and spray paint. It is very textured and contains lots of marks and layers.
