This painting was created at the incredible mission school 'Kingdom Come' in Paisley. Here is a short film about it:
God of the hills and the valleys is inspired by a verse from scripture as well as some words of a song:
The man of God came up and told the king of Israel, “This is what the LORD says: 'Because the Arameans think the LORD is a god of the hills and not a god of the valleys, I will deliver this vast army into your hands, and you will know that I am the LORD. 1 Kings 20
And the song by Tauren Wells with the same title:
On the mountains, I will bow my life
To the One who set me there
In the valley, I will lift my eyes to the One who sees me there
When I'm standing on the mountain, I didn't get there on my own
