I serve as chaplain on the island of Bardsey once a year. It’s an annual pilgrimage that breathes life into me and gives me an opportunity to paint for the pure joy of painting and to respond to the beauty of the island.

Each year that I’ve gone carries a particular theme or flavour as I respond to what I see and feel. Sometime it’s instant, and I paint from the get go, other times it takes a while and needs time to peculate!
